WHITE CANE
hite Cane is the major fundraiser for the Lions Sight Foundation, the fundraising arm for the Lions of Mississippi. Monies rasied by White Cane are used to fund the multiple district’s state wide projects.
20 Guns in 20 Days:
This is the latest funraiser of the Lions Sight Foundation. The Foundation sells chances to win one gun a day for 20 days beginning November 1. Winning tickets are resubmitted and are eligible for all 20 give-aways. Tickets are $20 each or a book of 6 tickets for $100. Monies raised will be used to endow the multiple districts statewide projects.
Avery McKinley Award:
Avery McKinley Awards target individual contributions made by Lions club members. A contribution of $25 secures an Avery McKinley pin featuring the current White Cane campaign theme and helps to fund the Lions various statewide projects.
Lights for Sight:
By purchasing a Light for Sight during the holidays for $25, you may pay tribute to someone with an honorarium if they are alive or a memorial if they are deceased. Lights will be added to the Christmas tree located in the state office for those you wish to recognize. Funds rasied will help fund the multiple district’s statewide projects.
Circle of Champions:
The Circle of Champions is a program designed to recognize and show appreciation for various levels of giving to the Lions Sight Foundation. This program recognizes contributions made by individuals and clubs, above and beyond their annual contribution to White Cane. Contributions made to the Cirlce of Champions are cumulative and can be made over a period of time. Levels of recognition are:
Bronze: $1500
Silver: $2500
Gold: $5000
Plantinum: $25,000
Memorials:
Memorials may be made to honor some one who is deceased. Monies raised will be used to endow the Lions of Mississippi state wide projects. Checks should be made payable to:
